The Corner family, on your corner of the coast

For years, this spot at Las Palmeras de Benavista was Neli G's — your taste of home on the Costa del Sol. In September 2025, our family took it over. Neli G's carried the initials of its previous owners, so when it became ours, we gave it a name that's ours too: Julia — our daughter, who runs the restaurant today.

We're the Corners. Malin is a Swedish chef and restaurateur — she's the reason the gravlax is cured properly, the meatballs taste like Sweden and the fika is taken seriously. Malin led the kitchen here through our first year, and now follows the seasons between our two restaurants: summers at our sister restaurant Malinda's Villa Bro in Bohuslän, Sweden, and the rest of the year right here in Benavista — with Julia running the show year-round.

Ian is a Londoner, which matters for one reason above all: he knows exactly what belongs on a full English breakfast, and what doesn't. When he's not fussing over the bacon, he's up a ladder — we're gradually repainting the place ourselves, one wall at a time. If you spot wet paint, that's us.

Nothing you loved about this corner has gone anywhere. The full English done properly. The Sunday roast every autumn and winter. Pancakes and French toast at the weekend. The faces who remember your order. Same tables, same welcome — new name, and a family behind it who plan to be here a long time.

Come say hello. We're open every day from 8:30am to 4pm, with free parking right outside.
